For unlimited access and dedicated usage:
- Leave the "I want to use Qevlar's account" checkbox unchecked
- Enter your BigDataCloud API key in the API Key field
- Click Test connection to verify your API key is valid
- Once the connection test passes, click Save
Step 4: Obtain your BigDataCloud API key
If you choose to use your personal API key, follow these steps to obtain it:

- Verify your API key is in "Active" status, not "Pending"
- Ensure you've copied the entire API key without extra spaces
- Check if your BigDataCloud account is active and in good standing
- Wait for the full propagation time if you just created the key
2. API key shows "Pending" status
- This is normal for new keys
- Wait up to 10 minutes for propagation
- Use the REFRESH button to check current status
- Don't attempt to use the key until it shows "Active"
3. Rate limiting issues
- If using Qevlar's shared account, you may hit rate limits during peak usage
- Consider getting your own BigDataCloud API key for dedicated limits
- Check your usage statistics in the BigDataCloud dashboard
4. Invalid API key error
- Ensure you're copying the key after clicking "Show Key"
- Verify no extra characters or spaces are included
- Check if the key has been deleted or regenerated in BigDataCloud
